Videoconference Profit.Health Forum – The health system, a year of pandemic: achievements, failures, future
Save Health! Resilience, reform, truth. Vaccination, health benefits It is time for a long-term vision in terms of health. The pandemic blocked the activity of hospitals, and the first, the most affected, were the chronically ill. The pandemic revealed multiple shortcomings, especially the lack of human resources, outdated infrastructure and ankylosing coordination institutions. The shortage of doctors Romania is facing is the direct consequence of inadequate funding, both in terms of pay and in terms of infrastructure and working conditions. Despite the shortcomings, in Romania there was an unprecedented solidarity between the public and private systems, which allowed the care of a large number of patients simultaneously. But what will happen next? State authorities believe that a new strategy for the future of the system is needed quickly. Measures to restart hospitals to full capacity, to organize circuits, to hospitalize SARS CoV2 cases, without discrimination and, last but not least, non-discriminatory access to new therapies, are the topics of the Profit Health Forum.
