Event Profit Health.forum – The Romanian medical system 15 years after joining the EU – XI-th Edition

    CONTEXT

  • There is constant talk about health reform. Some say it started, but it has no continuity. Others that there was not even such a thing except on paper, and others that it is an act begun, but which has always remained at this stage. Health system analysts asked the question: what has happened to health in these 15 years since accession? What is the impact of European funds and accession on the national health system and on the state of health of Romanians.
  • In this context, we propose to take stock together of the 15 years since joining the EU and then see what prospects are being prepared through the PNRR. Because, after three decades of democracy and 15 after joining the EU, the employees in the system complain about the lack of predictability, with health still working according to the well-known model, and that’s how it goes.
  • The state’s responsibility towards doctors is to keep them in the system, in the country, to provide them with civilized working and living conditions and to protect them from corruption.
