What is Profit Health.forum:

The Romanian health system does not even have the best image in front of the European bodies because of the low funding, the inefficient use of public resources and the difficult access of European funds. The reform of the health system has not shown its effectiveness due to a high degree of political instability.

The problems faced by the Romanian medical system are limited access to health care in rural areas, mortality due to cardiovascular diseases and lung, breast and colorectal cancer, increased number of new cases of HIV / AIDS and decreased immunization rates, lack of medication and specialized appliances, old-cycle hospitals and poor hygiene, a health law whose modifications go beyond the initial form of the law and which is becoming increasingly difficult to apply, plus the migration of physicians. All this makes the healthcare system one of Europe’s cobwebs. Each minister had the agenda to solve these problems and even promised new and well-equipped hospitals.

But, unfortunately, things have not advanced, and over the last five years, 500 million euros, non-reimbursable funds have also been lost. At this conference, we intend to conduct a current analysis of the problems in the system, but especially to shape immediate or medium-term solutions for increasing the quality of medical services in support of patients as well as health workers.

The themes will be debated by authorities, patients, doctors, medical staff, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, insurers, representatives of state hospitals, managers from the largest private clinics in Romania.
