Videoconference Profit.Health Forum – The SARS-Cov2 phenomenon. Seasonal flu. Vaccination

On February 26, 2020, the first case of infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed in Romania. On March 11, the WHO declared a pandemic, and the world’s states were forced to reorganize their health systems so that the disease would make as few victims as possible. The world authorities have made numerous scenarios during this period, some more optimistic, others more pessimistic.

Even today, there are still many unknowns, despite the efforts made worldwide by researchers, doctors and authorities related to SARS Cov2. A frequently asked question is: could this long-talked-about pandemic be prevented?

Now people would like to know what awaits us in the future. What can happen with the onset of seasonal flu. How can we prepare to deal with the new flu season. How long can the pandemic last? What can we say about vaccination.

DISCUSSION TOPICS:
How the health system is prepared to deal with the SARS Cov2-Seasonal Flu phenomenon. It is imperative that the health care system be reformed.

  • The Romanian health system needed a real reform for a long time. If until now the reform of the system has been postponed, now the reform cannot be postponed. Authorities must present a plan of measures to change the health system, because the pandemic will continue, maybe more will come. An ankylosed system in the past can no longer meet the new challenges, the new health requirements.

The situation in hospitals: the public system, the private system. Treatments and vaccinations.

  • Hospitals need to be reorganized because SARS-Cov2 involves a new approach to patients, they mean separate circuits, it means new treatments, it means a new approach to activity, so that covid or non-covid patients do not suffer. li>
  • To what extent are hospitals already prepared to deal with more hospitalizations.
  • To what extent can hospitals with chronic illnesses cope? The activity of the hospitals was severely affected, and the chronically ill faced many problems.
  • One of the big problems of the new pandemic was the treatment. Finding an effective treatment, with fast action and healing, but also a vaccine.
  • But how long do researchers need to produce a new vaccine or drug.
  • When the first safe SARS-Cov2 vaccine could appear.
  • What do the specialists say?
  • What can be done until the vaccine is available.
